Eyebolt

An eyebolt is a mechanical fastener with a threaded shaft and a head forming a ring. Available with internal diameter 13 and 50 mm, is an anchoring system particularly suitable for fixing scaffolding requiring an additional connecting element between eyebolt and scaffolding, and hang the rope and chain on the wall. Load values are subjected to the type of contact carried out.

Special type of eyebolt include: Screw eyes (or eye screws), Pigtail eye bolts and so on.

▪The eyebolt can be used again with a new expansion body.

▪It must be used KSD or KSD-R steel expansion sleeve with metric internal thread to fix the scaffold to the external wall of the building, and hang the rope and chain on the wall.

▪Material Available – Carbon Steel with zinc plated, Stainless Steel.

Installation Instructions

Make a hole of the right diameter and depth and clean it

1.Make a hole of the right diameter and depth and clean it.

2.Place the expansion sleeve in the borehole

3.Place the tool in the sleeve and hit it with a hammer until it stops at the edge of the sleeve.

4.Screw the hook into the sleeve until you get clear resistance.

5.The attachment is ready to accept the load.

Application

Suited for applications on solid and semisolid supports: stone, concrete, solid brick. Designed for joint scaffolding by means of extensions. Eyebolts are used to attach an eye to a structure, through which rope, cable or shackles can be secured. A common use is to create a lifting eye so that a crane can be attached to machinery, with special purpose lifting eyes rated for their safe working load.
